Armour
There are various suits of amour available in Legends of Might and Magic. Each gives a degree of protection from enemy attacks. The notes below give advice when and where to use armour. Statistics for each suit of armour follow after the notes below.
- Get leather armour as soon as you can. You end up taking much more damage if you’re “naked” than if you have armour. This means you’ll live and fight longer.
- The heavier the armour, the better the protection but this slows your running speed. Magic armour doesn’t provide quite as much protection as plate, but it weighs much less (only as much as leather armour).
- Plate mail armour is cheap and protective but slows you down.
- If you like melee combat, get plate or magic armour as soon as you possibly can. Then hide behind corners or doors and wait for a good hacking opportunity.
- Head shots are particularly damaging regardless of your armour.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The armour protection rates below are shown in percentages. Percentages over 100% mean that weapons can inflict more than their listed damage. For example, two blows to the head or torso with a warriors’ berserker axe (bas damage of 40) will inflict at least 100 points, enough to kill an un-armoured character.
